Getting Started with Ledger: Ledger.com/Start

Welcome to Ledger! Setting up your Ledger device is the first step toward securing your crypto assets. Follow these key steps to get started:

1. Unbox Your Ledger Device

Inside the package, you’ll find your Ledger hardware wallet (such as Ledger Nano S Plus or Ledger Nano X), a USB cable, recovery sheets, and a quick start guide.

2. Visit Ledger.com/Start

Go to your browser and enter Ledger.com/Start. This is the official starting point for downloading Ledger Live, the companion app required to manage your crypto securely.

3. Download Ledger Live

Select your operating system and download Ledger Live. This app allows you to manage your assets, install apps on your device, and check your portfolio.

4. Set Up Your Device

Follow the on-screen instructions to initialize your Ledger device:

Choose Set up as new device

Create a secure PIN code

Write down your 24-word recovery phrase in the exact order provided. This phrase is the only backup to access your crypto if your device is lost or stolen.

5. Confirm Your Recovery Phrase

Verify the recovery phrase during the setup process. Never share this phrase with anyone and never enter it on any computer or smartphone.

6. Install Apps & Add Accounts

Use Ledger Live to install apps for the cryptocurrencies you want to manage (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum), then add your accounts.

7. Start Managing Your Crypto

With everything set up, you can now send and receive crypto, track your portfolio, and explore the full features of your Ledger device—all with top-tier security.
